I bought the Chef's Choice under the partner program and I was so nervous I would get one of their unique flavors like the Smores, only because I've never tried protein or energy powders previously and was truly hoping for a good experience for a first-time, and when I received the Beach 'N Peach, I was pleasantly surprised! I loved the flavor, although it was a tad sweet for my tastes (as an avid Monster lover). I've never had energy or protein powders prior to trying Dubby, and I loved every aspect of it, although I will say it left a slight powdery coating inside my mouth (even with the recommended serving size). I'm not sure if this is a collective experience with powders, and it didn't bother me much, but it was noticeable for a first-timer. My partner, who's had protein powders in the past, didn't seem to have the same experience so maybe it's just me! But all in all, I loved the flavor! The only thing I didn't like was that the scoop was mixed in with the powder and made servings messy; powdery fingers and "wasted" product when trying to dig for the scoop. Maybe separate the spoon from the powder? Final review; loved it!
Shaker leaks when not tightened PROPERLY, but works really well!
I will preface this review by saying that no, the shaker does NOT leak normally; you have to tighten the shaker quite a lot for it to "click" closed. It's hard to describe but you tighten it like normal and then you can push a little harder and there's almost a slip that happens to tighten it fully so it doesn't leak when shaken. Otherwise, it's a perfect shaker not only for Dubby powders but also protein powder or other mixed drinks. The logo on the side is cool as well, but the only "complaint" I have is that it would be larger. I love doing 1scoop to 24oz instead of the recommended 12-16, but it's a personal preference, and it's hard to portion out the right ratio in the 18oz cups. All in all, love it, just don't forget to tighten it properly!
